LDV – Maxus Van launch
The Client
The former Templeborough Steelworks in Rotherham, now home to the Magna Science Adventure Centre, was the venue for the long-awaited launch of Birmingham-based light commercial vehicle manufacturer, LDV’s all-new Maxus van.
The Brief
DIS, in partnership with a local advertising agency, were commissioned to turn Europe’s largest former steelworks into a complete “Maxus Experience” for the launch of LDV’s new Maxus van.
What we did
A site visit to the Magna Centre was the first step followed by discussions with the client, providing them with expert advice on suitable and effective media. The graphics required by LDV involved the use of various substrates including silk banners and hanging drapes, rigid substrates, backlit film, floor vinyl, window vinyls and bespoke free-standing display units. Our installation teams worked day and night over a 72-hour period to install the graphics at the steelworks to produce an effective and dramatic set.
Results
The Maxus Launch project was completed on time within budget and resulted in a successful launch event. We continue to work with LDV on a variety of projects including the production of 96-sheet billboard graphics, bespoke units for their Head Office reception area in Birmingham and other custom-made signage solutions.
